Download & Instructions
As a community service to the pharmaceutical industry worldwide, ScienTek Software has released a
program, free of charge, to calculate the Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT) based on what is described
in USP 27, page 2578.
Please give us feedback if you download and use STABILITY SYSTEM II.
Mean Kinetic Temperature - A Short History (by ScienTek Software)
Request STABILITY SYSTEM II
Major Improvements in Version 2.0 - Released October 2007
- Source data can be in degree F
- Source data can be in a CSV file containing data collected from multiple temperature probes in the same storage area
- Compute MKT for each temperature probe separately
- Compute averages or low/high from all temperature probes and use them to compute MKT
- Graphing is enhanced to include all data from all temperature probes
- Capability to select various reduced data sets (such as every 2nd data, every 3rd data, ...) to determine the effect of reduced data set on the computed MKT
- Capability to use a series of activation energies to compute MKT's to determine the effect of activation energy on the computed MKT
- Capability to handle different time periods to answer questions such as "What is the mean kinetic temperature if eggs are stored at 20°C for 2 hours, 4 hours at 2°C and 1 hour at 25°C?"
- Extensive help information by clicking the F1 key on your keyboard
- Old .MKT files are still supported
