The security is critically related to the 21 CFR Part 11 regulation.

| Feature |
Description |
| Secured login |
Each user needs a login name and a password to login. The password is managed by
each user and can be changed at any time or forced by the system based on user-specified time
threshold. Both login name and password cannot be recycled and used. |
| Security levels |
Each user account is associated with a security level which controls the extent
each user can use STABILITY SYSTEM. |
| Audit trail |
An always-on audit trail facility keeps track of editing activities. |
| Multiple levels of data checking |
Edit the holding file access rights for entering, checking, and approving data in the
holding file. A user must be authorized to
- enter new stability data
- check data
- approve and merge holding data.
For a secured environment, you can force different users to enter data, check, and approve the same data. |
| Encrypted database |
To increase security, the STABILITY SYSTEM database is encrypted. |
| Program idle time logout |
Increase security by tracking the program idle time. The current login user must login
again once the user-specified time threshold is exceeded. |
| Restrict editing functions to users with high-level security |
Increase security by restricting certain editing functions to users with high-level security. |
| Specify minimum number of characters for passwords |
The password can have a maximum of twelve (12) characters. You can specify
the minimum number of characters required for passwords. |
| Notify designated users for all failed login activities |
Designated users can be notified for all failed login activities. All login and logout
activities, including failed login activities, are tracked by the audit trail facility. |
| Reset password |
System administrator can reset the password, while keeping all other user account
information, for a user who forgets the password so the user can enter another new password. |
| Block functions not to be used |
To increase security, the user can block those functions in STABILITY SYSTEM not to be used. |
